Three jobs, in detail

The gallery shows the finish. These are the ones worth explaining, because the visible work was the easy part.

Damp that kept coming back

A bedroom wall had been repainted three times and blistered each time. The cause wasn't the paint — a cracked parapet above was letting water track down inside the cavity. We waterproofed the parapet and the roof joint, let the wall dry out, treated the salts, then repainted. Two years on, no recurrence. [Suburb], [Month Year].

A shower leaking into the room below

The ceiling below a shower had a spreading stain. The shower tray had been sealed at the edges but the floor beneath it had never been waterproofed, so water was going straight through the screed. We lifted the tray, waterproofed the floor and up the walls, retiled and resealed. [Suburb], [Month Year].

Ten-day rental turnaround

A three-bedroom unit between tenants with a long repair list: repaint throughout, two doors rehung, cupboard hinges replaced, cracked tiles in the bathroom swapped out, gutters cleared. We worked to the agent's handover date and sent photo sign-off per item so nobody had to drive out. [Suburb], [Month Year].
